Greetings from an old Badger fan in Venezuela (Class of 73, MM in 74, DMA in 96). I learned to like Football in my undergrad days in Madison, even though the team did not do very well those days. Our star was Rufus Ferguson. I bought tickets for a game with Indiana in 1973, but had emergency dental surgery on that specific saturday morning (infected wisdom tooth had to come out). I was devastated because I would not be able to attend the game. However, when the Doctor told me I would need to apply ice on my face all afternoon, I said "What the heck! It's 10 below outside, this is Madison! I don't need ice! I did attend the game with my wife, it was my first live event, and every time pain bothered me, I just took some air through my mouth, and the pain went away. It was after all, a happy afternoon: No pain, no swelling, and, by the way, the Badgers destroyed the Hoosiers. I live far away, but I still miss those all red afternoons at Camp Randall. Go Badgers!
